The Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

Did you watch the Royal Wedding? I did! And all I can say is.. Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!

Finally.. after months of waiting to see what Catherine's wedding dress would be like, we finally saw it! It was beautiful! The moment I saw it, I can't help but say 'WOW!' I also can't help but remember Princess Grace of Monaco's wedding dress when she wedded Pince Ranier III of Monaco.  Anyway.. she looked fantastic on that day! It was really a fairy tale for the Duchess of Cambridge. :)

As for William, I was surprised he wore that red unifom of the Irish Guards instead of the Royal Air Force Uniform . But it was reasonable as he was the Colonel of the Irish Guards. And.. whatever he wear, I'm sure he still would look very dashing! :D

Before the wedding itself, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II gave William his new title. He became Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, Baron Carrickfergus.  His style and title in FULL is: His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Louis, Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Srathearn, Baron Carrickfergus, Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. Also, Catherine Middleton was given the title of Duchess of Cambridge as William is the Duke of Cambridge. BUT.. it doesn't end there. She also, now, becomes the Countess of Strathearn and Baroness Carrickfergus. :) Her name lengthened!

Going to the wedding itself.. I saw the Westminster Abbey and it was soooooo beautiful.. and BIG! Of course, there are 1,900 guests at the wedding service. And speaking of the guests, the female guests wore hats. Some pulled it off, some didn't. I'm not gonna mention who didn't pulled it off. But the hats entertained me. I loooove hats. When I live in London, I will have a lot of hats.. and head dresses!

Prince William arrived in the Abbey together with his best man, who also is his brother, Prince Harry. I loove Harry in a military uniform. They both looked dashing!

After the Princes of Wales arrived, the Royal Family also arrived with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall and Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip as the last to arrive.

Here comes the bride!! We finally saw what Catherine's dress looked like when she stepped out of the hotel and in to the car that brought her and his dad, Michael Middleton to the Westminster Abbey.

Catherine Middleton walked down the long aisle of Westminster Abbey with her father on her side. She walked well. With poise and elegance and I kinda know that she's trying not to tear up.. as well as her father. I was holding back my tears while watching! haha! When Catherine is near the altar, Prince Harry looked back and said something to William with a mischievous smile. He was prolly teasing William but lip readers said that Harry said this "Right, she's here. Wait till you see her." That is what I read somewhere. :))

And when Catherine is finally at the altar, I can't help but giggle at William who finally was able to see her bride. He said something to her and to her father and at that time, I didn't know what it was. Lip readers said that William said this to Catherine "You look beautiful." And a joking statement to Catherine's father, "We were supposed to have a small family affair." :)) Oh William! :))

During the wedding service, I can see that William's holding back a giggle and he keeps on smiling and looking at Catherine. He was so cute. He's so in love. :) Anyway.. when they were saying their vows, I noticed that Catherine spoke with a soft, lovely voice. It was so honest and solemn at that time. I was happy that he didn't mixed up William's lengthy name. :D There was also a time when William was putting the ring on Catherine's finger. He was having a hard time! The ring must be small. haha! But he managed to put it on! :D

After the whole wedding service, Wills took his now-wife, Catherine out the Abbey so they can ride on the carriage and be on the Buckingham Palace.

It was 'traditional' that a newly wed Royal couple will be at the balcony of Buckingham Palace prolly thanking the people pr whatever.. But of course, the people in England would mostly want to see the newly weds kiss! William and Catherine did not only kissed once.. but TWICE!!

After this, the Royal Family went inside the Buckingham Palace to have the lunch hosted by The Queen. About 3:39pm in London, the couple went out, William driving a convertible Aston Martin with balloons and a plate number that says JU5T WED. They drove to the Clarence House where they will spend the rest of the afternoon together before they have a dinner party at night hosted by William's father, Prince Charles. I wasn't able to tune in to the news at that time because I was already asleep. But once I woke up, I saw what Catherine wore on the dinner party! It was beautiful and it's another creation of Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. See that waist?! Oh dear!

I forgot to mention the prayer that William and Catherine wrote that was recited during their wedding.

God our Father, we thank you for our families; for the love that we share and for the joy of our marriage. In the busyness of each day, keep our eyes fixed on what is real and important in life and help us to be generous with our time and love and energy. Strengthened by our union help us to serve and comfort those who suffer. We ask this in the spirit of Jesus Christ. Amen.
That was it all. Congratulations to the both of them! Wishing them all the love and all the best! :D

The BIG Day!

It's the 29th of April already! Which means... *drumroll* it's the ROYAL WEDDING DAY!!! Oh I've waited so much for this day. AS I KEEP ON SAYING, I AM FASCINATED BY THE ROYALS. It's less than 6 hours (my time) before the wedding and I'm hooked on TV and news on line about it. I'm just excited! :)

I've seen William and Catherine's bridesmaids and page boys and they're all young! Harry and Pippa are the only older ones. I also read news about the Royals and even tracing William's family back then. WELL, not exactly tracing them. I started reading about Princess Margaret (I was so in awe when I saw her younger years in a TV Special and she's just so incredibly beautiful!) and then I see some names included about her so I tabbed it and there! I even read about Anne and Mary Boleyn! And from there, I put the pieces together with all the Royal movies I watched and I understood them all! It's so much fun to learn about the Royals. I wonder why I didn't took Royal History--if there is a course like that here in my country. :))

I can't wait to see what Catherine's wedding dress would be like. Yes, I called her Catherine. She should be called that from now on as she's entering the Royal family. AND also, I can't wait to know what title she's gonna have and also William! :D

Feeling very United Kingdom-y today.

Royal Wedding Procession

Here I am talking about the wedding of Wills and Kate. Told ya, I'm a sucker for Royals.

While I was on twitter, a tweet from hello magazine caught my eyes! It says..
: The newly-weds' procession route through historic London

So I clicked the link and voila! I saw a labeled map of London and the highlighted streets of it which is the route for their procession. Here it is..

So the route is like this.

Kate will be  greeting the crowds starting in 'The Mall' then to the Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and to the Parliament Square and finally to the Westminster Abbey. She will be riding the Rolls Royce Phantom VI. This was the car used by Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, when they were attacked in a student protest. Here is the 'damaged' car:

After the wedding ceremony in Westminster Abbey, the newly weds will travel to the Buckingham palace by a carriage! (Now, this is what I wanna see! THEM in that carriage!) That carriage was also the same carriage that Prince Charles and Princess Diana used on their wedding day! Here it is!

AHH! Look at the late Princess Diana.. She's soo beautiful! :)

Let's take another trip to the procession with photos!

It'll start at The Mall.

Then to Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall

To the Parliament Square.

And finally to the Westminster Abbey.

After the ceremony, they will go to the Buckingham Palace.

This is the Rolls Royce Phantom VI car that will bring Kate to the Westminster Abbey. This is the undamaged photo. :)

And this is the carriage that will bring Wills and Kate to the Buckingham Palace from the Westminster Abbey (without Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana's photo. :D)

This is going to be a very lovely wedding! Excited, I am. :D April 29th.. Mark your calendars!! :D

Majestic Royal Wedding

I am fascinated by the Royals--Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Dukes, Duchesses, Earls, Countesses, Viscounts and other titles there may be. I have such huge interest in them.. particularly the British Royal family. More particularly, Prince William Arthur Philip Louis Windsor. Prince William for short. :)

Prince William, as everyone already know, is the eldest son of Charles, Prince of Wales and the late Diana, Princess of Wales and he is 2nd in line to the throne. So what's the fuzz about him?! Well, first of all, he's like the most gorgeous Royal in today's time, he's sporty, he's sooo nice and down to earth and he's supporting a lot of charities and.. HE'S GETTING MARRIED!!!

Of course, we all know by now that he's getting married to the pretty brunette commoner, Catherine Middleton.. or Kate..

So who is Kate Middleton? Kate is just a commoner like most of us. She is the eldest child of Carole, a then-flight attendant and Michael, an airline officer. She met William in University of St. Andrews, first becoming just friends and then later, their friendship blossomed. And look now, she's engaged to Prince William! About to wed him in 40 days (April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey) She's one lucky commoner!

I have nothing against Kate. I think she's perfect to be William's Princess... and England's future Queen. I just envy her 'cause she's marrying the Prince of my dreams! (I know, I know. LMAO!) And I think she had enough time to prepare to become a royal. Being with William for 7 or 8 years really helped her.

Going back to their wedding..

I think it's going to be a majestic one! Like a modern day fairy tale. I have this expectation that it will be like Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana's BEAUTIFUL wedding back in the 80s. Too bad I wasn't born when they got married. I only saw some clips of their fairy tale like wedding and it's just awesome! I fell in love! Diana's gown was absolutely gorgeous! Perfect for a Princess.

I believe that people all over the world expects a wedding like that or a more grand wedding for Wills and Kate. It's the wedding of the decade! :D But knowing William and Kate, I think they will make it just very simple.  I THINK. But who knows? It may be a simple yet more grand wedding! I cannot wait to watch their wedding! My schedule for the 29th of April is reserved.

As for Kate's gown.. It's still a mystery for most of us. Clarence House says that future details about the wedding will be announced soon or on the wedding day itself. I'm excited to see her wedding dress! I have no exact picture on my mind on what it's going to be like but for sure it's going to be simply elegant and fit for our future Queen. RATHER.. England's future Queen. haha! I feel like I'm an English citizen now. :))

Anyhoo.. I'm happy for Wills and Kate. They're going to be one influential Royal couple. I hope people will stop comparing Kate to Will's mum. Apparently, people just can't help it. I'm pretty sure Kate will do a very good job as a Princess. It's gonna take some time 'cause she's new to this. William and his family would be of great help to her. And in time, she'll just do it naturally. She's really a Princess and Queen potential. God bless her!

And before I end this.. I am showing you the Royal Coin produced by the Royal Mint to commemorate Wills and Kate's engagement.
Ain't it nice? Though Kate doesn't look like Kate there.

And I also found this. I'm not sure if this was produced by the Royal Mint.

I personally like this one. It's much clearer. And Kate looks like Kate. :)

Some memorabilias.

I just wanna have those! I'm a sucker for the Royals. :)

Wills and Kate went out to the public right after announcing their engagement
and I just looove Kate's dress!

William looks dashing, eh? :) I'll always love him!

And of course, the ring!!!

Okay. So I just wanna show you Kate's hand. I looove her hands!
She has pretty hands. Mine sucked. haha!

This is the ring! It was the engagement ring of Princess Di. It's beautiful!

Again, I'm excited to watch their wedding on the 29th of April!
OH!
By the way, a film about Wills and Kate is set to air a week before their big day!
I hope it'll be shown to the whole world! ;)

One more thing..
