The BIG Day!

It's the 29th of April already! Which means... *drumroll* it's the ROYAL WEDDING DAY!!! Oh I've waited so much for this day. AS I KEEP ON SAYING, I AM FASCINATED BY THE ROYALS. It's less than 6 hours (my time) before the wedding and I'm hooked on TV and news on line about it. I'm just excited! :)

I've seen William and Catherine's bridesmaids and page boys and they're all young! Harry and Pippa are the only older ones. I also read news about the Royals and even tracing William's family back then. WELL, not exactly tracing them. I started reading about Princess Margaret (I was so in awe when I saw her younger years in a TV Special and she's just so incredibly beautiful!) and then I see some names included about her so I tabbed it and there! I even read about Anne and Mary Boleyn! And from there, I put the pieces together with all the Royal movies I watched and I understood them all! It's so much fun to learn about the Royals. I wonder why I didn't took Royal History--if there is a course like that here in my country. :))

I can't wait to see what Catherine's wedding dress would be like. Yes, I called her Catherine. She should be called that from now on as she's entering the Royal family. AND also, I can't wait to know what title she's gonna have and also William! :D

Fallen... Angels

Last week (Wednesday), I asked my mom to buy me a book. I just wanted to do something for the Holy Week that will help me stay away from opening my laptop besides watching TV shows. So I scouted the bookstore for novels. 

I passed by a stacks of books in the Best Seller area. There's this book that caught my attention because of its cover. Its title is Fallen by Lauren Kate. I LOOOVED the book cover. So I picked it up and read the synopsis at the back of the book. It doesn't say much but I was really interested in it. After reading the synopsis, I was thinking if I should go buy it already but I decided to stay longer at the bookstore and look for more.

Then I found Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. I've always like Dan Brown since I read The Da Vinci Code. So that book became my second option.

I searched for more. I circled all the book shelves and nothing interests me except for Fallen and The Lost Symbol. I HAD to choose one. I thought about it and finally I picked up Fallen. I haven't heard of this novel before (from my friends or anyone) so I thought it's my time to share to them what this book is about after I read it.

Its price tag is Php359. I told mom about it and said that it's expensive but she gave me the money anyway. haha! And when the cashier punched it in, I only paid Php287.75! I checked the receipt and it says--after the title of the book-- 'PROMOTIONAL METHOD.' I have no clue what that means. Maybe it's on discount? I don't know. But I'm glad that it became... cheaper. :))

I didn't read it when I got home. I read it last Friday and I got hooked on it!! I am so into the novel and I loved it more because I read it before I sleep. :D BUT!! Before I read, I searched about it online and found that it's about the fallen angels. Reading that info made me so excited to start and read the book. The moment I found out that it's about fallen angels, I stopped searching about it. I don't wanna get spoiled anymore so I shut down my laptop and started reading.

As I go along the chapters, part of me compared it to Twilight. Yeah, yeah. But part of me convinced that other part of me that it's not the same. Their similarity is that, it's both supernatural. That's it. 

I finished reading it yesterday. Because there are nights that I can't read anymore because I was sooo tired from cleaning stuffs here at home. But if I didn't get tired those days, I could've finished it in 2 days... or less than 2 days.

This novel left me hanging. Obviously, there's a next novel to it and there is! I read the epilogue of Torment, the second Fallen Novel and I loved it. So I decided to buy it the next day and I did! I bought the hardbound! ha! And it's quite funny because the tag price was Php495 and I only paid Php396! FOR A HARD BOUND BOOK! I was soooo happy! I might start reading this after I watch Glee which will end at 5pm. I. CAN'T. WAIT. :D

Week-Long Hiatus

It's the start of the Holy Week!

I spent the day with my mom and a friend. I had a glum face all morning but I felt good all afternoon up to now. Moving on is part of life and I am moving on. I did what I had to do and now that it's the start of the Holy Week, I just want a peace of mind. 

I'll be living this Holy Week without social networking sites. I'll be spending my Holy Week with my family here at home. Change stuffs around here at home, watch TV shows (that I haven't watched for a loooong time because I was too distracted doing stuffs on line), listen to music, meditate, read books, review my Nursing subjects and pray. It's like eat, pray, love but I'm doing it with the TV shows and I'm lessening my food intake... as I'm on a diet. :))) And love... well... Love myself, others and God and every thing that He has given me.

I've done some bad things and it's time to renew myself. I was sorry for all of it and when I say that I am sorry... I really am.. I'm serious about it. I'm just human. I'm not saying this just to make an excuse but I'm human. And I make mistakes and I'm not perfect. Everyone's not perfect. So for all the bad things I've done, I'm really sorry about it and I'm making amends. 

So for this Holy Week, no facebook, no twitter, no mail and no blog for me. I'll be using the internet just to watch my favorite TV shows online and I'll be very strict with my internet usage.  Less me online, YAY!!!

Here I am blogging the first song my iTunes played for me. It's 3am by Matchbox 20.

To be honest, this wasn't the first song that made me like Matchbox 20. It was Push. I haven't even heard this until after I began to seriously LOVE them. :))) And I haven't put this song on repeat until now. I'm loooving this song. 

3am-- not a usual title for any song. I thought it's just about 3am and the (writer) singer just can't sleep. But it's not about that.  It's about the girl who says that it's 3am and she MUST be lonely. What is with this time? A lot of things go on at 3am. Is it the worse time of all? I just noticed that some 'bad things' happen at 3am. -__- 

Anyway.. I kinda relate to this song just now. Most especially the chorus.

1st Song of the Day: Stay With Me

I love music. Who doesn't, right? Every time I open my laptop, I always open my iTunes and play music randomly. So today, the first song that played was Stay With Me by Colbie Caillat.

The moment I heard this today, I thought of sharing it with... you. :) This is one of my favorite songs and this is a relaxing music. Colbie has managed to create a beautiful lyrics with a relaxing tune and it will make you listen to this over and over again. 

This is included in her Breakthrough album and may I just say that, that album is sooooo good! I love all of her songs there. Perfectly made!

I'm twenty two!!!

It's March 31, 2011!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! I'M 22!!!

Gosh! I can't believe I'm 22 already. I don't feel like I'm 22. I feel youngER. A kid. =]

My birthday is about to end but in the Western countries, it's just starting. Oh I wish I could go there so I can still celebrate! That would be a very long celebration! :))

Anyway.. I had fun today! It was a tiring day!! Mum had a last-minute grocery shopping this morning and she also bought me TYFA shirt!!! With James' number in front! woooh!! :D I'm just so happy! :)

Didn't notice that it also has James' signature on the arm side. :D :D

It made me giggle when I saw this! haha!

While we were at the mall, mom bought a cake for me. I didn't expect that it would be from Conti's 'cause 2 days ago, she asked me "TYFA shirt or Cake from Conti's?" :)) But she bought me both! I love her! Best mum ever! So here's my birthday cake! Its name is Mango Bravo from Conti's. Try it, it's yumeeh! Of course, it's available here in PH. :)

I spent my birthday with my family (mother side) watching the AFC Challenge Cup this afternoon. Yes, I enjoyed it very much! And after watching, I toyed with my make up. But I didn't put it on me. I put it on my little cousin. :))) And after that, I attended a mass at a church near our house, went back home and eat. Oh how I love my birthday! :))

When my aunts, uncle and cousins went home, I went back to bed and I just suddenly felt tired. My legs hurt (from driving), my shoulders ached too! And I'm ready to just sleep! But voila! it's 11:37pm and I'm still awake! haha! I still wanna watch the 1st episode of the 6th season of Grey's Anatomy. It'll make my day! :))

Things that also touched me are the greetings of my friends. Text messages are SOOOO much appreciated than facebook. lmao. Sorry, friends! Well.. because.. there are no notifications in your phone.. UNLESS they put my birthday in their cellphone's calendar and set a reminder alarm on it so they will be reminded every year! :)) But all greetings are very much appreciated! My frienemy greeted me and we haven't talked since December 28, 2010! It's my birthday so I said thank you with a smiley. I'm holding no grudges against anyone today. I'm shooing the bad vibes! :))

Some friends of mine didn't just plainly greeted me "Happy birthday," or "Happy birthday Marion!" C'mon! It's boring! I like it when they greet me and say something very sweet or something and not just those 2 or 3 words. So, these are some of the greetings which made me smile from ear to ear.. or made me laugh. :))
